Red leaves, yellow leaves,
they fly away like butterflies:
the sapling remains bare,
naked, bare and poor.
But spring will come! –
the bird comforts him
who came is near him.
– Flowers and nests you will get back,
and in gladness you will sing,
and I will sing with you too
praise and thanks to the good Lord.
